OUR PHILOSOPHY
Dynamic Intervention
A behaviorally-based approach to education is dynamic in that it changes in response to learner needs. Behavior Analysts of New York approaches teaching and learning from a behavioral, analytic perspective. We continuously assess our clients' learning and modify instruction accordingly. Our goal is for systematic instruction and measurement to be self-correcting.
Positive Change
Behavior Analysts of New York uses positive approaches to improve meaningful behavior. We aim to teach functional communication, social, academic, and life skills, using naturally-occurring reward-based consequences whenever possible. We replace problem behavior with functionally equivalent skills and teach parents and teachers how to support new skills in everyday enviornments.
